Optimization of the Hydrodynamic Performance of a Double-Vane Otter Board Based on Orthogonal Experiments

An orthogonal experiment was conducted to study the effects of aspect ratio, camber fore wing, and gap ratio front rear wing panels on hydrodynamic performance double-vane otter boards. The design comprised three factors (each having levels), namely (1.0, 1.5, 2.0), (0.12, 0.14, 0.16), (0.25, 0.30, 0.35), drag coefficient Cx lift Cy nine board models obtained in a wind tunnel experiment, lift–drag K by calculation. for working angle attack 30° selected as inspection index, experimental data were analyzed an design-direct analysis. Analysis each factor revealed that optimal level combination A3B3C3 decreasing order A (aspect ratio) > B (gap C (camber). thus terms (2.0), (0.16), (0.35), with greatest effect performance. performances optimized structure another model compared numerical simulation, which verified correctness analysis results. results provide reference board.
